LINNEA LUCIFER

AUTHOR PROFILE

Linnea Lucifer is the Captain of an imaginary pirate ship, a weaver of stories, and a certified pain in the arse. She spends most of her days daydreaming and writing fantasy, smut and painfully crappy poems.

Named after a delicate little flower that grows in mossy, Swedish pine forests, and a fiery fallen angel, she takes great pleasure in everything that tickles the senses and adds a sprinkle of magic and spice to our world.

Forced into COVID isolation in March 2020, Linnea wanted to keep herself busy and (at least somewhat) sane. She wanted something that would excite her and keep her mind out of the big black hole that was waiting outside her door. Luckily, she had something that she had been looking forward to sinking her teeth into: The creation of this blog and a rather extensive archive of old writing projects.

Two of her old stories had annoyed her more than all the others combined. They should have worked, but didn’t for some reason. Both had potential, but they lacked that special something. You know, that feeling, whatever it is, that makes you want to share a story with all your friends and family. Looking into the drafts now, Linnea saw a solution she hadn’t thought of before. Pulling a third draft out of the archives, she set about merging them all into a series rooted in Norse Mythology and Scandinavian folklore.

In August 2021, Linnea took to Wattpad to share the first drafts of the Ulfrheim saga. At the same time, another budding author, FK “Belle” Marlowe, had found her way to the same platform. By one of Life’s many miracles, it was only a couple of weeks later that Belle stumbled across one of Linnea’s drafts and decided to leave a few comments. Two months later, they teamed up to build a shared author’s platform and work together to get their stories published.

Around the same time, Linnea had been approached by another author, Leto Armitage, who shared her interest in Norse myth and culture as well as her passion for carnal pleasures. Very soon the two of them had embarked on a collaborative writing adventure, and Leto and Belle were getting to know each other too. The dynamic duo soon became a tremendous trio, and Leto moved in with them at the Captain’s quarters on the Resilience, Linnea’s imaginary pirate ship where the As We Write writers’ room is located.

In a very short time, three solitary indie writers in Vancouver, London and Atlanta had joined forces and set out to create a collaborative authors’ platform. Today, they have a joint publishing schedule, this blog, a YouTube channel, and multiple social media accounts between them. As of April 2022, they also host the virtual writers’ camp, New Paris Commune.
