SHIP’S LOG 08: SILLINESS, SPOOFS, AND WRITING

F.K. Marlowe, Ship’s Belle

Hello me hearties! The world is coming back to life out there, and all that gorgeous sunshine has even found its way to my heart, which, as you know, has been feeling a bit shivery lately (and not in a fun, horror writing sort of way). I’ve not been in much of a mood for writing of any kind the last couple of months, but I’m gradually putting things back together, sorting through the mess of emotions, and starting to think about a return to some kind of normal, whatever that may look like.

While I’m still not in the right frame of mind to tackle horror, it might be time to get back to playing with words again. I hope you’re revelling in the May warmth, and that you enjoy this month’s newsletter, born of me filling some of my “downtime” (yes, that’s a grim pun) of the last few months with “research reading” of YA fiction. I think I might have the hang of it!

And Finally…

That’s all the silliness and immaturity I think you can handle this month! In two weeks the Cap’n and her Pet Bear are back with a run down of all the fab new fun stuff you can check out on board the Good Ship Resilience!

I’m back two weeks after that, with more daft shenanigans, and possibly even a return to form!

Until then, friendly sharks and plain sailing, shipmates! Xxx
