ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

Hej Messmate,

We want everyone to feel welcome aboard The Resilience. Whether you’re reading on a phone, a tablet, or an old laptop that creaks louder than a ship in a storm, our goal is to make this site as easy to use as possible.

Here’s what we’re doing to keep things shipshape:

  • As a wheelchair user and spoonie author who’s been fighting for access my whole life, I know firsthand how frustrating barriers can be. We’re committed to doing better and welcome feedback from readers with different abilities.
  • We add alt text to images so screen readers don’t miss the fun.
  • We use clear headings and simple navigation so you can find your way around without a compass.
  • We aim for readable fonts and good contrast, so no one has to squint like a sailor into the sun.
  • We test pages regularly and keep things simple – no unnecessary pop-ups or labyrinthine menus.
  • We make sure you can navigate the entire site using just your keyboard – no mouse required for any of our essential features.

That said, we’re a small indie crew and still learning as we sail. If you run into something that makes the site hard to use, please let us know so we can fix it. You can reach us through our Contact Page or email me directly at linnea@aswewrite.com.

Thanks for helping us keep the ship open to all who want to come aboard.
