TIME FOR A TIPPLE: SAKI MARTINI
Time for a Tipple
A hark back to my days in Asia for this month’s rather classy cocktail, though I sadly never made it to Japan! Maybe next year!

Saki Martini
This cocktail’s a chic new take on an old favourite, and just the thing for darker nights and brighter lights. One warning – most of the cocktails I share with you taste like sweeties. This one’s much more grown up and closer to the taste of a traditional martini.
Ingrediants:
- 2 fingers gin or vodka
- 1 finger saki (there are some fab offers on cool new sakes out there right now! Happy hunting!)
- 1/2 finger vermouth or dry sherry depending what you have in the booze cabinet
- Cucumber slice to garnish
- Over ice for ultimate “cool”
Method
- Ice in first, splash the gin in and add the saki last, before the slice. Strike a pose and enjoy!*
